The sort of astonishing site that all people should see at least once. Over generations, Adults, children, and even some pets have been amazed by the wonderful and colourful seafront spectacle which bathes the promenade with more than a million magical bulbs in a shimmering sea of light. The greatest free light show on earth (some say) has been a major part of Blackpool’s attraction scene since 1879 when they were described as ‘artificial sunshine’.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience miles of festoon, larger-than-life tableaux, illuminated trams, instagrammable features, laser technology andstunning projection shows during the dark winter months.
The Illuminations are just a short drive or tram ride from our caravan parks. Enjoy the spectacle from your car or take a walk down the amazing promenade.
